Alfords Point crag is situated in a beautiful natural setting in Georges River National Park, which sadly suffers from being on the edge of suburbia, thus accumulating rubbish. Climbers can help improve and keep this area clean. Join other climbers and the NPWS to help remove litter in the morning and then stay on for a climb in the afternoon shade.
The event is being supported by ClimbFit Kirrawee (register and you will get a free day pass to Climb Fit)
When
NOTE: Climbing Afterwards
Climbing afterwards is not part of the NPWS clean-up, so you climb at your own risk. Participating is a good way to meet people if you haven't got a regular outdoor group. People will be happy to belay and set up top ropes if you don't lead climb, but ideally you should know how to safely tie in, do buddy checks and have your own harness, helmet and shoes as a minimum. Experience top-rope belaying would also be good.
This community event is run in collaboration with the ACA and NPWS
